Pumping Tests

We have successfully conducted Aquifer Pumping Tests for the Base Project (Red Line) of Thessaloniki Metro, under very difficult, stifling, urban environment conditions.

Pumping Tests were conducted at following Stations:

• New Railway Station
• Panepistimio
• Analipseos
• Patrikiou

During pumping tests we were measuring and recording groundwater drawdowns, from multiple piezometers installed (nine at the same time at Patrikiou Station).

Pumping tests aim was the determination of aquifer hydrogeological characteristics T (Transmissivity), S (Storativity) και k (hydraulic conductivity).

We have compiled Factual Reports of hydraulic conductivity and transmissivity data of studied areas.
